The Moneypaper Inc. publishes The Moneypaper, Direct Investing, and The Guide to Direct Investment Plans. In addition, it supports an affiliated broker/dealer that is organized to open accounts for individuals on the books of any of about 1,000 companies. The Moneypaper was one of the earliest advocates of such direct investment plans (DRIPs) as a way for the small investor to take advantage of risk-reducing strategies long enjoyed only by wealthy investors and institutions. Published monthly, it features the benefits of these investor-friendly plans and features well-diversified DRIP portfolios. It also follows small stock and conventional stock portfolios, with buy, sell or hold suggestions. Its subscribers get unhedged advice on tax, retirement and estate planning. Published twice each month, Direct Investing focuses exclusively on DRIP companies with specific stock recommendations—which stocks to buy, why, and when. The Moneypaper’s Guide to Direct Investment Plans contains specific prospectuses and transfer agent information for the DRIPs of every company with a plan, including requirements for entry and special options (such as automatic investing, discounts from market price, availability for IRAs, fees and selling schedules).
